New courses name 2020-2021 (Same High Quality Program!)

  • IHL (Italian as a Heritage Language) – The first change we made is to adapt the name of our courses known as LCI (Lingua e Cultura Italiana) to their true nature, that is a heritage language. Therefore from now on we’ll call them IHL, Italian as a Heritage Language. Instead of LCI 1, LCI 2, ect. you’ll now see IHL 1, IHL 2, ect. Note that the content is still the same.
  • IHL Preparatory- We have revised and improved our former LCI dei piccoli that is now called IHL Preparatory, a course that is meant to prepare young children to better transition to our IHL courses. This course focuses mainly on oral production which is a necessary requirement to move on to IHL 1 and beyond. In order to reach this level of confidence, we strongly recommend to take the extra 30 minutes offered on Tuesdays in addition to the regular lesson on Thursdays.
  • Advanced IFL  – This course has been tailored to the learning objective of our students who are not heritage students but are very advanced IFL learners. Advanced IFL learners will use same books and program as Italian as a Heritage Language with some modifications to the grammar curriculum.
