The CILS certification (certificazione dell’italiano come lingua straniera), created by the University of Siena, attests candidate’s linguistic-communicative competences in Italian as their second language. Level B1 citizenship

Exam is divided into 4 sections:

• listening comprehension (30 minutes)
• reading and comprehension of written texts (40 minutes)
• writing (writing production) (40 minutes)
• speaking (oral production) (10 minutes)

Duration of the exam: 2 hours and 15 minutes with a break of 15 minutes
